Tensioning rope

Tensioning ropes are used in ropeways without hydraulic tensioning devices. They are also used in surface lifts and chairlifts as well as older gondola ropeways.

Specifications

Certifications: ÖNORM M9541, EN 12385-4

Ropeways without hydraulic tensioning devices need appropriate tensioning ropes to prevent the ropeway rope from sagging. This balancing rope is used in surface lifts, chairlifts and older gondola ropeways.

TEUFELBERGER tensioning ropes consist of a special insert as well as round strands. Our tensioning ropes feature ordinary lay (sZ or zS).

These ropes include 6 or 8 round combined-parallel-lay strands. The insert used may be of fiber or steel. It should be emphasized that only IWRC (independent wire rope steel core) type steel cores are used. Moreover, the steel core is rated for load-bearing functions.

The main advantage is the specific construction of the tensioning rope, ensuring maximum service life of the rope.
