Subsea winches

Subsea winches (e.g. Riser Pull In, A&R) are used to position loads on the seabed as accurately as possible. The central component of a subsea winch is a Teufelberger-Redaelli high performance steel wire rope that ensures easy handling and thus also precision. However, also in this type of use, the possibility to reliably schedule maintenance and replacement intervals is a key criterion when choosing a steel wire rope. Teufelberger-Redaelli subsea winch ropes allow operators to calculate and reduce overall costs due to predictable logistics.
For these demanding applications, Teufelberger-Redaelli provides highly compacted rotation resistant winch ropes for subsea winches (such as riser pull-in winch, A&R winch) that are used successfully around the globe. The additional PLASTFILL® plastic-impregnated steel wire core protects the rope core against corrosion throughout the rope's entire service life. Of course, required rope end terminations, precise tests and inspections, and certificates are also available.
For subsea winches (such as riser pull-in winches, A&R winches) that are also equipped with an active heave compensation system (AHC system), Teufelberger-Redaelli has developed special solutions (unique lubrication) that withstand extreme temperatures and are able to cope with exceptional lifting heights. For particularly challenging applications, Teufelberger-Redaelli offshore subsea wire ropes are also available as highly corrosion resistant PROTECT versions.
