Latest Technologies made possible something that a few years ago seemed to be impossible; the exploitation of extremely deep sea oilfields, building futuristic subsea oil factories. This challenge involved offshore industry globally.
Teufelberger-Redaelli had accepted the challenge to design and manufacture high performance ropes to meet the most extreme requirements of the offshore industry for subsea applications in ultra-deep waters.
In order to meet the increasing level of performance required by the latest heavy lifting system, Teufelberger-Redaelli developed FELXPACK 1000, a top of the range product giving high performances and able to overcome the most extreme situations, in terms of load, size, depth and weight.
Offering the highest minimum breaking force to both diameter and weight ratio, FLEXPACK 1000 safeguards all the characteristics which have made Flaxpack the technical benchmark for offshore winches and single fall cranes: 7 compacted strand design, full anti rotational property, smoothness and high traversal stiffness.
Teufelberger-Redaelli has the possibility to offer very high MBF without affecting the tensile strength wich is confirmed to be grade 1960 N/mm2 (minimum 1770 – not exceeding 2160 N/mm2 – EN10264- EN12385-4) thanks to selection of special rods, control of process and application of very high discard criteria supported by continuous development and competence.
FLEXPACK 1000, with all the products of Flexpack family, can be manufactured with regular or Long’s lay, with different surface finishes (non-galvanized, draw galvanized, Zn95Al5) and with plastic coated core.
