Hoist rope

NOROTEC® MT 83 is an extremely flexible rope for friction hoists with low torsional tendency. It is provided with special sisal fibers between the steel strands.

NOROTEC® MT 83 from TEUFELBERGER is an extremely flexible rope with low torsional tendency and greased natural fibers (sisal) embedded between the steel strands in the rope core. This steel wire rope is outstanding due to its longevity in terms of bending cycles. Moreover, this hoist rope is able to adapt almost perfectly to the traction sheave lining to ensure the best possible frictional connection and thus best possible power transmission. This feature plus the ability to compensate the dynamic stress occurring during operation because of high conveying speeds substantially increase the operational safety of the system.
 

Of course, NOROTEC® MT 83 can be adapted individually - depending on the application and specific requirements. This adaptability will ensure that the design is optimally balanced in terms of wear, service life, breaking load, etc.
 

The high performance hoist rope NOROTEC® MT 83 is characterized by:

  • Very good adaptability of the rope to the traction sheave lining, since the rope construction permits a minor deformation of the cross section
  • Very high resistance to dynamic loads and shock loads due to the natural fibers (sisal) embedded between the strands
  • Extreme flexibility and longevity in terms of bending cycles
  • Low torsional tendency of the rope construction facilitating installation and protecting the drive sheave linings
  • Greased natural fibers ensuring core lubrication, thus increasing the service life
  • Natural fibers largely preventing any contact between the strands and thus friction corrosion
