Composite Braiding
Composite Braiding is a technique to cover any mandrel shape automatically and reproducible with a composite fiber architecture that can be tailored to meet the specific load cases of the final part.
Braiding has a long tradition within TEUFELBERGER. In early 1900 the great-grandfather of the CEO Florian Teufelberger was braiding the first rope out of hemp. Over the years the company brought the braiding technology to perfection by processing high-tech fibers like PET, PBO, Dyneema™, Kevlar™ and other materials to provide high-end ropes for the roughest applications to its customers. Meanwhile the company has leveraged the technology to build fiber preforms and resin-infiltrated composite parts in virtually any three-dimensional shape for an increasing number of customers in the composite industry.
The process solutions we offer:
- Composite Braiding utilizing radial braiding machinery
- Metal-Composite Interconnection Technology
- Technical Expertise in design and fibre layout
- Prototyping and volume manufacturing
- Resin Infusion (RI) and Resin-Transfer-Moulding (RTM) capabilities in-house and in cooperation with local partners
Composite Braiding allows the fabrication of virtually any three dimensional part
