Our Carbon Footprint – transparently assessed, collaboratively compiled

For the first time, we have calculated our group-wide Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) – covering all sites, divisions and emission categories.
The calculation was carried out in cooperation with an external partner and based on the internationally recognized Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP).

Colleagues from across the company contributed to this effort – from data collection to quality checks.

A particular focus was placed on Scope 3 emissions – those generated along our value chain, such as from material use, transport, waste, or business travel. Especially in this area, the availability and comparability of data across all locations proved to be a major challenge.

For the first time, the CCF gives us a clear picture of which activities are the main drivers of emissions – and where we can take targeted action to reduce them effectively.
It forms the foundation of our decarbonization strategy and is a key milestone on our path to greater climate responsibility.
