Teufelberger-Redaelli celebrates the fourth Guinness World Record of the Flexpack rope!

The champion rope breaks a new record confirming its title of the heaviest in the world.

Teufelberger-Redaelli is glad to announce that the Flexpack rope, the heaviest steel wire rope ever produced in the world, was awarded a Guinness World Record for the fourth consecutive time in a row.

The winner rope Flexpack is a compacted non-rotation steel wire rope intended for high-performance off-shore applications. Its new version exceeds the length of 4.050 meters and weighs over 488 tons.

The specific design of this rope – based on modular compacted strands – provides a perfect combination of factors designed to meet the most challenging industrial and deep sea applications, such as transport, abandon & recovery and also pipe laying operations. Thanks to the intrinsic capacity of the rope to resist a significant transverse pressures deep underwater and to withstand high axial loads. These features make our Flexpack used by reputable players in the offshore sector. So it is installed on over 100 vessels currently operating in the "7 Seas" with our rope of records.
