Kellner & Kunz
With a range of over 120,000 items, Kellner & Kunz delivers its products from the logistics centre in Wels. Founded as a small hardware store in 1922, the company then moved to Wels and has grown steadily. Today, Kellner & Kunz and the RECA Group supply C-parts to industrial companies throughout Europe.
The fully automatic packaging system in Wels works on two levels. On the first level, larger packages and pallets are packed by means of a fully automatic strapping machine. A 12mm TYCOON® HT is primarily used. The pallet is strapped vertically twice, stretched if necessary, and then loaded into the trucks by the forklifts.
On the second level, i.e. on the first floor, is the packaging of the smaller packages. This is where the TEWE® PP strap BD 12055 HQM is used. After the correct goods have been assigned to the packages, they are strapped and transported fully automatically via conveyors to the correct unloading station.
- Printed 12mm PP strap seals and closes smaller packages and serves as anti-theft and for recognition purposes.
- Use of 12mm PET HT to secure the goods on the pallet and to close the boxes which are transported.
