In 2020, the new 10-passenger monocable gondola lift "Olang 1-2" (with a capacity of 3,900 passengers per hour) was built to replace the former gondola lift.

This project broke records. For the gondolas, the brand-new CWA Omega V model was chosen, equipped with seat heating and suspended from a rope with a diameter of no less than 64 mm, the largest ever installed in Italy. Furthermore, the installed power of 2,100 kW set this installation apart as one of the most powerful throughout Europe.
The Olang project thus brought together companies that stand for innovation and quality in the ropeway industry. The previous lift, built by Doppelmayr in 1989, boasted a transport capacity of 2,160 passengers per hour.

Safety is guaranteed by a new-generation NEXO system for continuous monitoring of the rope position, also an absolute first for Italy. Like the former gondola lift, the new system also allows passengers to travel up both sections without having to change cabins.
From the bottom terminal at an elevation of 1,164 m above sea level, the first section, "Olang I", covers a distance of 3,026 m to the intermediate station located at an elevation of 2,089 m above sea level; from there, "Olang II' travels a further 1,063 m to the top terminal located at an elevation of 2,275 m above sea level.
