Eternit is an Austrian producer of roof and façade products made of natural fibre cement. Fibre cement was invented in Upper Austria more than 125 years ago and has been one of the most important building materials ever since.

The produced roof tiles are first bundled into 6-piece bundles, using a white PP strap, placed on edge and strapped horizontally once per row and stacked on a pallet. In the second step, horizontal strapping is applied per row, this time with a TYCOON® GP strap. Two vertical strappings fix the package on the pallet.

The picture shows the roof tiles in the packaging line, where the last vertical strap is applied to fix the pallet.

Key facts

  • Use of TEWE® Special Strap 12mm to bundle the roof-tiles
  • ~140 pieces are strapped per minute
  • To secure the tiles on the pallet, TYCOON® PET Green Performance 16mm is used
