The combination of a wide gauge, a special rope guidance configuration, and the Funifor carriage gives the Falginjochbahn its high wind stability. Along its total route length of 2,000 m, this ropeway installation needs only two towers.
The upper terminal is supplied with energy via the SOLITEC® VVS track rope with integrated electric conductors and fiber optics. Consequently, there was no need for any excavation work along the line. Traveling at speeds of up to 12 m/s and carrying up to 100 passengers each, the cabins reach Mount Falginjoch at 3,113 m in less than four minutes from the base terminal.
