Our goal is clear: not only to supply first-class ropes, but also to deliver services that meet the highest standards of the offshore industry.
Our services at a glance
Technical consulting: from specifications to the design
A team of engineers offering technical support using advanced developed tools to provide the best solution following customer requirements. From the first specification to the final design, our technicians and application specialists offer tailored technical consulting, using internally developed models and decades of on site experience.
Manufacturing & certification management
We ensure consistency and quality control in production, monitoring and controlling all the process steps used to transform raw material into a finished product and we can provide a complete record of the production process.
Rope trainings: knowledge that keeps yur systems running
Our training programs empower offshore operators, engineers, and maintenance teams with the knowledge and confidence to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective rope operation throughout its service life.
Rope installation & commissioning supervision
We offer expert advise and supervision during installation and commissioning to ensure that the installation of wire ropes is carried out in a safe and correct procedure.
Inspections, maintenance & examinations
Our inspection and maintenance programs combine on-site expertise with advanced diagnostic tools, providing a complete view of rope condition and performance throughout its operational cycle. Using non-destructive examination methods (NDE) such as magnetic rope testing (MRT) and visual inspections (as AI aided camera and drones aided examination) under load, we identify wear, corrosion, broken wires, and internal strand movement before they become critical.
Research and development: analytical simulation and tests
Our rope systems are not only the result of advanced precision manufacturing, but also of predictive modelling that allows us to anticipate performance under extreme conditions.
Analytical rope model
This model allows our engineers to simulate mechanical behaviour, load distribution, fatigue response, and elongation under realistic service conditions—before a single strand is manufactured.
In offshore applications, where ropes operate under dynamic loads, bending over sheaves, and corrosive marine exposure, the Analytical Rope Model enables:
Precise rope dimensioning and selection of geometry.
Simulation of internal stress and strain to prevent premature wire fatigue.
Prediction of elongation behaviour and structural stability throughout the rope’s service life.
Tailor-made rope solutions aligned with system-specific parameters such as line pull, reeving configuration, drum diameter, and duty cycle.
All rope components—core, strands, and surface layers—are digitally optimized to work in perfect harmony, ensuring running smoothness, extended lifetime, and operational predictability.
This approach gives our customers design and maintenance confidence, reducing risk and lifecycle costs across complex offshore systems such as cranes, winches, and deep-sea hoisting lines.
Efesto – Rope temperature estimation and monitoring system
Temperature is a critical factor in offshore applications, influencing both lubrication performance and fatigue life.
Efesto is our innovative rope temperature estimation system, developed to provide real-time insight into the thermal behavior of steel wire ropes during operation.
Using data collected from rope geometry, load profiles, and ambient conditions, Efesto’s algorithms calculate localized temperature increases caused by bending friction, internal strand movement, and contact with sheaves or drums.
The system helps engineers and operators to:
Predict rope temperature evolution during duty cycles.
Identify potential overheating conditions that accelerate wire fatigue or lubricant degradation.
Optimize rope design and maintenance intervals based on thermal stress forecasts.
Validate rope performance and safety margins through integrated data correlation.
By combining Efesto’s predictive capability with our Analytical rope model, we offer a comprehensive evaluation tool that brings simulation and testing into one cohesive digital framework.
Together, these technologies form the core of our R&D excellence, supporting customers in achieving safety, operational uptime, and rope longevity in even the harshest offshore conditions
