OEM-tested quality

Forestry ropes for professionals - durable & twist-free

Developed with OEM partners for maximum safety and efficiency in forestry work.

With our forestry ropes, you can optimize your timber harvesting, reforestation and forest maintenance. Our ropes for tipping masts and long-distance tracks as well as mounting and back winches are developed and tested together with our OEMs, which is why their performance is so impressive.

They are characterized by

  • Long service life: fewer rope changes and less investment

  • High minimum breaking forces: More safety or higher drum capacity

  • High compaction: Resistant to abrasion

  • Twist-free: No looping of the rope

Frequently asked questions

Here you'll find answers to the most frequently asked questions.

A STRATOS® fiber rope is about 80 % lighter than a steel wire rope.

The grouting end termination is only suitable for the covered STRATOS® Winch Pro.

STRATOS® Winch Light is available with splice, splice and stainless-steel thimble or with the STRATOS® rope puck.

The resin must dry for at least 12 hours, ideally at a temperature above 15 degrees Celsius.

The elongation at break of UHMWPE is approx. 3.5%.

No, ropes made of UHMWPE are very weather-resistant and insensitive to moisture, grease and oil.

The ropes are manufactured according to the desired length.

HMPE means high molecular weight polyethylene and UHMWPE means ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene.

The breaking forces of STRATOS® fiber ropes for the forestry sector are all specified in the splice and in kilonewtons (kN). It is therefore not necessary to factor in any loss of breaking force for the splice, as Teufelberger already specifies the breaking forces in the splice for forestry applications.

This depends on the working load acting on the rope. The elongation curve of UHMWPE is linear. The higher the working load acting on the rope, the higher the elongation. In principle, however, UHMWPE is a very low-stretch material.
Example:

  • Rope breaking force: 90 kN

  • Working load: 45 kN

  • Elongation: approx. 2.0 %

The melting point of UHMWPE is approx. 140 degrees Celsius.
