TEUFELBERGER supplies FSE Robline brand ropes for Austrian Sailing League
The Österreichische Segelbundesliga (Austrian Sailing League) has now started into its second season. Right on time for the first event on Lake Traun (Traunsee) from June 10 – 12, 2016, the new Sunbeam 22.1 regatta boats were built, and rigged with FSE Robline brand cordage.
Following a successful maiden season in 2015, the recently established Austrian Sailing League was able to seal a unique cooperation with the Schöchl boatyard. For the league, this boatyard makes a special edition of the Sunbeam 22. Following numerous meetings and discussions, this boat, the Sunbeam 22.1, was custom-tailored to the specific needs of regatta racing. The entire fleet of these boats – 6 in total – will be equipped with TEUFELBERGER's FSE Robline brand cordage, including the Admiral 5000, a crossover line featuring a polyester cover and a core of strong Dyneema® SK78, but also various FSE Robline sheets.
This year's season opener took place on Lake Traun (Traunsee) from June 10 – 12, 2016 and offered sailors plenty of opportunity to extensively test the new regatta boat. All participants had only positive things to say about the boat and the lines. Specifically tailored to regatta use, the FSE Robline cordage package proved to be a perfect interface between the sailors and the boat.
The Sailing League is contested between 18 participating Austrian clubs and in a total of 4 regatta events. The next event will take place 2 weeks from now in Velden, followed by a regatta on Lake Neusiedl (Neusiedlersee) in August, and the season finale in Bregenz in September.
