Program 3R: La Croix Noble builds a local circular economy for PET straps in France

La Croix Noble is one of Teufelberger’s most trusted long-standing partners in France and a pioneer in circular solutions for plastic strapping.

Founded in 1986 by Guy Beaudenuït as a one-man operation, La Croix Noble originally specialized in textile strapping solutions made from woven and composite materials, primarily serving sawmills and customers in the wood industry. In 2013, Pierre‑Louis Beaudenuït, the founder’s son, took over the company at the age of 24. Under his leadership, La Croix Noble underwent significant modernization and expansion, becoming one of Teufelberger’s most reliable partners in the French market.

Today, La Croix Noble sources large volumes of high-quality plastic strapping from Teufelberger, supplying industrial end customers across France.

Sustainability as a strategic focus

In 2022, La Croix Noble was among the first partners to actively engage with Teufelberger on sustainability and circular economy, starting what is now known as better.collect. Together, a structured material loop was established directly at customer sites, with a clear goal: used PET strapping should no longer be treated as waste, but as a valuable resource.

Program 3R – Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.

The result of this collaboration is called Program 3R, La Croix Noble’s circular economy approach for plastic strapping. The program enables:

• On-site or near-site shredding of used PET strapping

• Separate collection directly at customer sites

• Recycling and reintegration of the material into the production of new PET strapping

By minimizing transport distances and processing material locally, Program 3R creates an efficient closed-loop solution, fully aligned with Teufelberger’s better.collect initiative.

The result: measurable impact

Since the start of the partnership in 2022, collection volumes have steadily increased. To date, more than 171 tonnes of used PET strapping have been collected and successfully reused in the production of new strapping products.

With Program 3R, La Croix Noble and Teufelberger demonstrate how local expertise, technical know-how and a shared commitment to sustainability can turn strap waste into a valuable raw material – making circular economy a reality for customers in France.
