The Elevated Work Platform Set is used for belaying in work baskets. It is mainly employed as a restraint system to keep the user from being launched out of the basket due to the so-called catapult effect. Should a fall from the basket occur nonetheless, the system will catch the user and reduce the force acting on the body and the anchor point to less than 3 kN (300 kg). In addition, the fall distance will be limited to a minimum.
