Full Locked Coil (FLX) Stainless Steel Strand

Full Locked Coil (FLX) stainless steel strand is manufactured using a combination of helically wound, high-strength steel round wires and interlocking Z-shaped wires. The outer layers of Z-shaped wires are generally spun in opposing directions around a central core of round wires to maintain torsional stability.

Each stainless steel (grade 1.4401) is tested and verified for tensile strength, ductility, elongation at fracture, bending, and torsional properties in accordance with EN 10264-2 and EN 12385-10.

FLX ropes do not require an internal corrosion inhibitor compound and are usually produced dry or with a light manufacturing oil.

The main FLC strand properties are excellent axial stiffness (EA) values, an optimum strength-to-weight ratio, excellent long-term fatigue durability, torque balance, and excellent resistance to lateral forces, making it suitable for cable clamping.

FLX strand is designed following the most stringent international standards, including EN 1993-1-8, EN 1993-1-9, and EN 1993-1-11, ensuring they meet the structural and safety requirements of modern engineering applications.

Stainless steel cables can be supplied with a polished finish.
