The Active Rescue Set is used to rescue an injured or incapacitated person from a fall arrest harness by way of an active rescue operation. This means that the rescuer will abseil down to the evacuee, pick him or her up, and descend together with him or her. The rescuer will attach the ABS 4 WH abseil rescue device to his/her harness and will then abseil down to the person in distress. There, the rescuer will establish a connection to the evacuee, using a re-adjustable Multigrip Adjust lanyard, and lift himself and the evacuee up. Following that, he can disengage the evacuee’s fall arrest system and begin the abseil. What is carried out here is an accompanied evacuation. The rescue kit can also be packaged into a case.
