Gold and Bronze for FSE Robline at Olympics in Rio
The TEUFELBERGER cordage brand FSE Robline is highly present at the Olympic Games in Rio. With Argentina and Austria, two teams have already been able to race for Gold and Bronze in the Nacra17 class.
Several Austrian and International teams are equipped with FSE Robline cordage and many of them have good chances to reach medal ranks. The Argentinian and the Austrian Nacra17 teams already used this opportunity on 16th September 2016. Santiago Lange & Cecilia Carranza Saroli from Argentina and Thomas Zajac & Tanja Frank were able to show solid performance in the opening series. Also strong, even dangerous winds and shifts in the schedule could not disconcert them and they were able to assert themselves in front until the final race. In the end Argentina won Gold in front of Australia and Austria.
For Austria this Bronze medal has been a relieve, as it has been the first medal at Olympic games since eight years. But there is a good chance that Austria wins another medal in sailing. The 470-er ladies and men class will go into the medal race on Wednesday. Both Jolanta Ogar & Lara Vadlau and Florian Reichstädter & Matthias Schmidt are under the Top Ten at the moment and can rank on the podium. Also the Croation team with Sime Fantela and Igor Marenic is sailing with FSE Robline cordage and as leading team they are one of the favorites for the Gold medal. We keep our fingers crossed for the FSE Robline sailors!
