PPE against falls from a height is necessary when working at height and there is a risk of falling - for example on roofs, scaffolding or in areas where no fixed fall protection is installed. The necessity results from the risk assessment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Various ordinances and regulations govern the use of PPE against falls from a height. These include, among others:
