Creating value together – from every single strap

Better.collect gains another partner: Since December, a long‑term agreement has been signed with re-strap (www.re-strap.de) They collect used strapping from the German market, which is processed into high‑quality new straps by Teufelberger. Closing the material loop in a direct and transparent way.

Why this cooperation matters

In Germany, many companies already collect their used strapping through the re‑strap system. The new collaboration gives re-strap the necessary market security to continue growing and to connect additional companies to the system – and ensures that additional volumes from the German market are not incinerated or downcycled, but instead are high‑quality recycled and reused as a valuable raw material in production. For Teufelberger , the partnership means above all one thing: another reliable source of recycled material that can be used directly to produce new strapping.

From used strap to high‑quality raw material – and back again

The return of used straps is handled through the re‑strap collection system. Interested companies can contact Matthias Schäfer directly and collect their strapping waste. Thanks to the partnership with Teufelberger, used straps become high‑quality strapping again – a circular system that works.

A win‑win for the circular economy in Europe

  • Interested companies in Germany: They become part of a true material cycle and can be confident that their straps are being professionally and sustainably recycled.

  • Teufelberger: We strengthen our sustainable raw material base and continue to push our vision that strapping should be made from strapping.

  • Across Europe: This step is an important signal for how circular economy can work across borders.

Looking ahead

The cooperation with re-strap is another key building block in our commitment to a sustainable future and complements better.collect, which anchors circularity as a central element of our corporate strategy.

Together, we are creating a system that works – for today, but even more for the future.
