Teufelberger Strapping successfully renews OK Recycled certification
The Austrian producer announces the third consecutive year with valid OK Recycled Certificatoin reaching an even higher recyclate content within the black PP strapping portfolio.
We are proud to announce that Teufelberger Strapping has once again successfully renewed its “OK Recycled” product certification, including the EN15343 standard for recycled content traceability and verification. This marks the third consecutive year in which our PP and PET product ranges have been certified, reaffirming our long‑term commitment to circularity and responsible material use.
Significant Improvements in Recycled Content
Compared to the previous certification period, we achieved notable progress across both PET and PP portfolios.
PET Strapping:
Most PET articles produced at our sites in Austria and Poland have now demonstrated 100% recycled content.* This achievement highlights the strength of our sourcing strategy and our ability to produce high‑performing strapping solutions using fully recycled materials. *A limited number of PET articles produced with virgin material remain excluded from the certificate.
PP Strapping: Improvement from 40% to 60% of recycled content
We have further increased recycled material shares within our PP portfolio. Two major article clusters — together comprising more than 230 product variations — now show:
Min. 30% recycled content
Min. 60% recycled content in the second group.
Across the full product range, around 1,000 unique items are included in the OK Recycled Certification this year.
Annual Verification by TÜV Austria
To ensure full transparency, TÜV Austria conducts an annual on‑site audit that examines:
raw material usage,
supplier compliance,
and complete material traceability from delivery through to the finished product.
This rigorous process provides our customers with independent assurance that our certified products truly contain the declared share of recycled materials. At Teufelberger Strapping, sustainability is not a claim — it is a measurable, verified achievement that we continuously build upon.
