Teufelberger launches Gravity – the next generation tree climbing rope

Gravity was created through an intensive development process that started with listening: What do climbers expect from a next‑generation treecare rope?
Through workshops, field testing and ambassador evaluations, Teufelberger gathered practical insights from professionals across different regions and translated them into a new rope construction.

Supported by more than 230 years of rope‑making expertise, these user requirements were converted into a design that reflects the handling, performance and consistency arborists asked for.

The technical foundation: proven strengths, refined performance

Gravity brings together key characteristics from two established Teufelberger climbing lines:

·         From Fly: balanced handling and smooth movement on the line

·         From Tachyon: reliable grip, stability and long‑term performance

These strengths form the technical foundation of the new construction.

Additional features include:

·         11.5 mm diameter, suitable for a wide range of climbing systems

·         High‑visibility color options (Aurora and Nebula)

·         Stable, predictable rope behavior during ascent and work positioning

·         Gravity has been integrated into the Teufelberger spLIFE program. Customers can order the rope with a professionally executed spLIFE end termination – delivered either by the Teufelberger factory or by authorized spLIFE partners specifically certified for Gravity.
