As an apprentice in the field of plastics engineering, you will "spend time" in all departments (e.g. Quality Assurance, Research & Development, etc.) that are related to plastics engineering. This way, you will not only be trained in plastics engineering as such. You will also get to know the entire range of related activities.
Your main tasks include:
- Getting acquainted with the extrusion process
- Handling and ongoing control of final products
- Startup and adjustment work on the extrusion systems
- Gaining of insights into research and development of new and improved products
- Participation in maintenance and servicing activities for plants, in their operation and in related trouble-shooting procedures
- Manual processing of plastic materials
In addition to your main tasks, you will be working on certain assignments in the field of plastics in a team with other apprentices and share your knowledge and skills with your co-workers. During your apprenticeship, we offer you an apprentice exchange program in the course of which you will also get to know our partner companies. There, you will learn various techniques such as injection molding, laser printing, compounding, etc.
Vocational school: 10 weeks per apprenticeship year in Steyr. Our apprentices have the opportunity to live in the boarding home of the vocational school. The costs for it will be covered by TEUFELBERGER.
