Duration: 3.5 years

Focus of training: 
As a Mechanical Technician, it is your task to manufacture mechanical components. Having completed your training, you will be fit in several technical fields: from basic mechanical skills such as drilling, milling, turning, and grinding of components to diagnosing and remedying faults in machinery and plants.

Your main tasks include:

• Acquiring basic skills of metal machining and processing
• Repair and maintenance of machines
• Reading of simple drawings
• Preparation of practice pieces by means of cutting, filing, drilling, sinking, turning, milling, etc.
• Acquiring an understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
• Participation in production processes during maintenance work, faults, and for newly-made  products

Within the scope of your training as Mechanical Technician, you will be trained at both TEUFELBERGER and our partner companies. There, you will learn CNC milling and heat treatment techniques. 

Vocational school: 3 courses of 10 weeks each, and one 5-week course in Linz or St. Pölten.
