Because of the chemicals used here this section is very demanding for the rope. A multitude of negative influences like wetness and chemicals leads to short rope lifetime which can cause expensive machine shut downs.

Extreme^® XG (for heavy paper grades) / Protector^® XG (for light and medium paper grades): For size presses with bad shielding from wetness we recommend the patented Extreme^® XG or Protector^® XG rope. A net of strong monofilaments protects much better against sharp crystals and wetness than standard ropes.

Highspeed XG (in well shielded rope circuits): The compact rope construction protects against sharp chemical crystals that can lead to destruction of the rope from inside out.

Extreme^® HT or Protector^® HT: Depending on the paper grade we recommend our special rope type Extreme^® HT or Protector^® HT. Some multifunctional fibers are added to the strong net of monofilaments which effectively prevents rope slippage in the rope drive sheave.  We recommend the use of Extreme^® HT for heavy paper grades and Protector^® HT for light and medium paper grades.
