In September 2007, after a construction period of only seven months, the new Rope Technology Center in Wels opened its doors. There, TEUFELBERGER now operates one of the most modern, fully automated test facilities for crane ropes in all of Europe. This testing installation can be used to simulate various scenarios for the use of crane ropes and measure their immediate impact on the performance of steel wire ropes. Then, the findings obtained in these analyses and assessments are put to direct use in the development of new "high-performance steel wire ropes", generating a direct benefit for our customers.
