Metall-Composite Connection
Hybrid connections are one of the key technologies in lightweight construction. The realization of connections at the interface of composite and metal that are highly resilient, secure, and easy to qualify, form the base for an innovative hybrid design. Besides composite braiding TEUFELBERGER has specialized in composite-metal joints and sets standards in interconnection technology with T-IGEL®.
Composite Braiding allows for the introduction of load transmission elements in the self-closing braiding structure. T-IGEL® is patented by TEUFELBERGER in the application with composite braiding and filament winding.

- The application of the pins onto the metallic base body (Stainless S teel, Aluminium, Titan) is fully automated
A pin arrangement specifically designed for the application load is calculated and is automatically transferred to the metal base body. Through material accumulation different pin structures can be realized. Because of the reliable and tight connection, T-IGEL® is especially suited for the application in highly strained shafts, crash structures, and different structural components.
