KM-III is the ideal product for single rope technique climbing. KM-III has a polyester cover over a polyamide core. The polyester in the cover absorbs less water, has lower stretch, and is abrasion resistant. The low stretch of the polyester in the cover is balanced with the elastic polyamide in the core to attain optimum performance. The elongation properties of KM-III, combined with its 32-strand braided cover, make it ideal for SRT climbing. Ascenders grab onto the rugged polyester cover and the climber is able to move up the rope without the bounce associated with an allpolyamide climbing rope. KM-III is the only dual-certified static on the market and conforms to both NFPA 1983:2001 and CE EN 1891A standards. KM-III is available in three colors in diameters from 11, 13 and 16 mm.
